Our count of shopping centres is up to 1,564 since the data mob was announced last Wednesday. Not the 5,000 I naively hoped for, but still more than we’ve had in any previous data mob, which is great!
Some highlights so far:
- mrohde gave us a long list of malls owned by CBL & Associates
- blmurch listed a number of Brazilian shopping centres
- krsalis hunted down malls in Maryland and Washington D.C.
- alecf listed malls owned by Madison Marquette
- sxsdor listed shopping centres in Victoria, Australia
- lukeschubert listed ones in Adelaide, South Australia
- geektastique was responsible for a mixture of malls in Ontario, Canada and the north-eastern United States.
- jesperll listed ones in Denmark
- danny entered a lot of shopping centres in Pearl, Mississippi and in California.
In all we’ve gained about 500 shopping centers so far. Our previous best effort was with schools, when we got around 200 new ones. There is still a little time to go before I post the next data mob (which is going to be great, by the way) so if you’ve been meaning to feed in some shopping malls and haven’t got around to it yet, now’s a good time to get to it. I’ll post a final tally when I post the new data mob.
