Freebase user group meeting: Tuesday June 17th

It’s that time again! The Freebase user group meeting is held every second month here at Freebase HQ in San Francisco. This month we’ll be meeting on Tuesday June 17th (note that this differs from previous months, which were held on Wednesdays.)

As usual we have a range of talks on topics from simple to esoteric, and all of them pretty fascinating. We’re still finalising the speaker list, but it looks like it will include a demo from Powerset, a semantic search engine using Freebase technology; some talk about data mining from Freebase staff; Toby Segaran on how he used Freebase to create dossiers on corporate America; and the usual review of recent changes and new features including some great new ways to build community around particular domains of knowledge.

RSVP at upcoming.org so we know how much food and beer to provide, and please feel free to invite your friends!
