If you’ve logged into Freebase you’ve probably noticed some changes. Your homepage has been cleaned up and offers a few slick new features that we hope you’ll like.
New on Freebase: First and foremost is the ‘New on Freebase’ section, a feed of activity happening on Freebase. Activity can be a blog post from Freebase, a response to a discussion thread you’re involved in, announcements or edits to a domain. If you belong to domains, these will be featured more prominently in this feed than other edits. In the next release, you can also subscribe to the feed via RSS.
Your Domains: The domains you’re involved in are also easily accessible from the upper-left of your homepage — and you can easily create a new one right from here as well. This means you no longer need to navigate to a separate ‘your domains and types’ page to create and access your domains.
Notifications: you’ve got one-click access to discussion responses, watched discussions and now any edits that have been made to the person topic about you (if there is one). Recent discussion responses will also find their way into the headlines section, but this button lets you quickly check a filtered view of only discussion posts.
In an upcoming release we’ll add the ability to save queries/searches to your homepage and we’d welcome your ideas for other useful functions.
