OK, this is exciting. We’re planning a second Hack Day to be held July 11th here in San Francisco.
The last one, back in November, was amazing. We had about 70 Freebase developers and contributors in attendance, and ran three simultaneous tracks of unconference talks, as well as free-form hack space and presentations from Freebase staff about new releases. We’ll be doing the same format this time round, and we’ve timed our Hack Day to follow close on the release of Acre 1.0 (due in a couple of weeks), so if you want to find out more about our platform offerings, this will be a great event to attend.
The quick details:
When: Saturday July 11th, 2009, 10am-6pm
Where: Metaweb HQ, 631 Howard St, San Francisco
Who: Freebase developers, data nerds, contributors, and others interested in Freebase
Cost: Completely free! (We’ll be providing lunch and snacks, too.)
You can register right here, or at http://freebasehackday.eventbrite.com.

I’ll be there, but I can’t get the eventbrite thing to work. (they’re ‘upgrading’).
